Diplomas from EU/EEA countries
You can apply on the same conditions as applicants with Danish upper secondary school education – both in quota 1 and quota 2 – if you fulfill the general and specific requirements and if your upper secondary exam certificate can be converted to a Danish grade point average.

The United Kingdom has left the EU, which affects applicants from the United Kingdom. From 2024 it will no longer be possible to apply through quota 1 with an upper secondary education from the United Kingdom. Furthermore, British citizens will no longer be eligible for studying tuition free in Denmark from 2024. Until the year 2024, British citizens must document that they have had their place of residence in Denmark before January 1st 2021 to be eligible for studying tuition free. The general admission requirement is that you have accomplished upper secondary (high) school education.
All applicants have to present a grade point average equivalent to the Danish 6.0 – or more in order to apply though quota 1. The University will convert your grades to the Danish grading scale according to the rules set by the Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education in the handbook of international examinations (in Danish only).

Please note that you should always double check the Agency's website or ask for counselling in the Guidance and Admissions Office, even if your entrance examination is listed above. There might be important details not mentioned on this website.
All of the University's degree programmes have specific requirements, which you have to meet. First, you need to document that you have studied certain specific courses at certain levels equivalent to the Danish course levels: A (advanced level), B (intermediate level) and C (elementary level). You must have achieved these levels in the upper secondary (high) school education or during further studies at college, university or as supplementary courses.
You must include information and transcripts of levels obtained in the relevant subjects (for example A/O level, Higher/Subsidiary level or European A1-C2 levels). We also need to know the number of years studied in upper secondary (high) school or college/university – and in some cases the number of taught hours in the subject.
We will assess your language skills too. We will assess your level of education in your native language, English language and Danish Language. For certain programmes we will also asses your level of education in an additional language. Please refer to the checklist of the documentation you need to provide and the specific requirements for all study programmes (in Danish only).
We convert your diploma results to the Danish subjects and levels according to the rules set by the Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education. Please see the Agency’s handbook of international examinations for more details (in Danish only).
The University offers bachelor's degree programmes taught in Danish only. Consequently, all applicants with foreign and international examinations need to fulfil Danish language qualifications, which means having academic language skills in Danish.
Please note that the specific admission requirement about Danish A (mother tongue at the highest level) for all the programmes is not the same as the Danish language qualifications. If you have studied your native language at the highest level, you can obtain Danish language qualifications by passing the 'Studieprøven i dansk', which is a nationally recognised test for foreign language speakers administered by numerous language schools in Denmark.
