Do you need a Room for a Short Period over Summer?

The International Office assists exchange and some full degree students with finding housing in Copenhagen. On occasion, we rent out to others during the summer period 19 June to 25 August but these tenants cannot apply for housing which extends into the semester.

Please note that we are only able to provide individual rooms. Therefore we cannot normally provide housing for families. To get a general idea of costs and facilities, please see the various options that the International Office has access to here.

Rental Period

We do not calculate rent on a daily or weekly basis; the minimum rent you can pay for a short term stay is half a month. You should also expect to pay for the full month if you for instance need housing from 3 July until 25 July.

Special conditions apply to the month of August: You cannot rent a room for the month of August only, and if your rental period extends into August at all, you will always pay for the full month of August. Therefore, the minimum period you can rent which includes any dates in August is 1 ½ month starting medio July to the end of August i.e. you cannot apply to rent for a few days in July to and then all of August.

Application

You must send an application form to int-housing@adm.ku.dk. There is no deadline but the sooner we receive your application, the better is your chance of getting an offer from the International Office. We do not guarantee that we can offer you housing.'

Housing Offer

If the International Office is able to offer you housing, we will send you an offer to the e-mail address you have provided. The offer will have a deadline. If you do not reply within the deadline, you will most likely have lost the offer and we will not be able to provide you with housing. You must reply to int-housing@adm.ku.dk and follow the payment procedure as stated in your housing offer.

Payment

You should expect to pay the rent and the deposit in one payment prior to arrival.
