Specialisations in Geology-Geoscience

In the MSc programme in Geology-Geoscience, you can choose between the following specialisations:

Solid Earth Geochemistry and Petrology

This specialisation provides specific competences, skills and knowledge in areas such as the Earth's interior and volcanological processes as integrated parts of the planet's evolution, the relationship between the structure of materials, the conditions for their creation and the physical and chemical environments, etc.

Solid Earth Geochemistry and Petrology

Solid Earth Geophysics

This specialisation provides profile provides specific competences, skills and knowledge in areas such as soil structure and the data that underpin the understanding of the structure, geothermal and other geophysical observations, etc.

Solid Earth Geophysics

Sedimentary Basins and Palaeoclimate

This specialisation provides specific competences, skills and knowledge in areas such as classification of sedimentary basins in a plate-tectonic framework, the nature and significance of flora and fauna in various sediments, interpretation of palaeoclimatic problems, the chronological development of quaternary stratigraphy and the paleo-environment in Scandinavia etc.

Sedimentary Basins and Palaeoclimate

Water Resources

This specialisation provides specific competences, skills and knowledge in areas such as the use of advanced software and modelling to construct 3D geological-hydrogeological and hydrological-groundwater models, interpretation and quantitative modelling of geochemical reactions in porous media and coupling to the flow of the groundwater, etc.
