Student Life

Party Commitee

The Party Commitee is responsible for the student parties held at the Royal School of Library and Information Science (RSLIS). This is a great way of meeting students from other semesters and classes. Everyone can show up to the Party Committee meetings and become a part of the committee.

Each year a graduation party, a galla party and usually 1-2 other parties are held. A typical party starts at 21 p.m. and continues until 4 a.m. The Party Committee will meet beforehand and arrange decorations that match the theme. We have previously held parties with the themes roleplaying/sci-fi, zombies and pyjamas-party.

Friday Bar

In Denmark it is custom for the universities to have Friday bars, which start up during the afternoon following classes. The chairmen of the Party Committee keep track of the financial side of the Friday bar, but it is possible to sign up and help run the bar. This is a great way of meeting new people in a more informal atmosphere. We recommend all new classes to arrange a Friday bar in corporation with the freshman tutor, in order to make yourselves known at RSLIS. There will often be quiz-night, live music, competitions and sometimes a theme. It's all up to you to arrange something.

social Clubs

RSLIS has a variety of social clubs that you can join in order to socialize with your new fellow students.
