Application procedure

Before you apply to the master's degree programme in law, please make sure to acquaint yourself with all the important information on the application procedure, application deadlines and admission requirements.

Submit your application

Apply for a Master's degree programme at UCPH via the Application Portal.

Study start

Prioritisation of applicants

Places on the LL.M. programme are limited. If there are more applicants than available places, the Faculty of Law will select the most qualified students for admission.

Applicants with a legal right of admission will not be subject to assessment and selection, as they are guaranteed a place.

Selection criteria

If more applicants than the maximum intake fulfill the admission requirements, a selection will be made on the basis of a comprehensive evaluation, with emphasis on the following criteria:

  • That you bachelor's degree is less than two years old
  • Your letter of motivation
  • You academic qualifications and grade point average
  • That you have not already been enrolled more than once in higher education without graduation

Applicants who have completed a two year master’s degree can only be admitted if the admission limits have not been met.
