The two-year MSc programme in Sustainable Tropical Forestry (SUTROFOR in short) gives you the best instruction in the field of tropical forestry in Europe. You work with the growing challenges in contemporary tropical forestry in a global context, and you aquire valuable real-life experience by doing field work in a tropical country.

During the programme, you acquire international experience and intercultural understanding that make you capable of working with tropical forestry in countries and cultures all over the world.
You become an expert in the connection between the exploitation of tropical forest and nature areas for profitable production that can benefit a local community on the one hand and the preservation of biodiversity and the environment for the benefit of the global society on the other hand.
Sustainable Tropical Forestry is part of the EU-funded Erasmus Mundus programme. It is offered by a consortium of five European universities: Bangor University, Technische Universität Dresden, AgroParisTech, University of Padova and University of Copenhagen. You are required to study at two of these universities. Which one you choose, will depend on the academic profile you want.
