Academic Calendar

The dates below give an overall view of the academic calendar (autumn and spring semester) at the University. Please contact the individual departments to confirm their specific teaching schedules.

The academic year 2009/2010 

AUTUMN SEMESTER – 2009 (updated 1/7-09)

Intensive Language Course (ILP): 22 June - 21 August 2009
Pre-semester Danish language course: 3-21 August 2009
Teaching in the Autumn semester begins between 24 August and 1 September. The start date varies from department to department. Most departments will have introductory activities between 24 August and 1 September.

Some departments will have a mid-semester break. Please enquire in your department(s) upon arrival. 

The semester ends 31 January 2010. Some departments complete their exams earlier.

The academic year 2009/2010 – SPRING SEMESTER - 2010

Pre-semester Danish language course: 4-22 January 2010
Block 3: 1 February - 16 April 2010
No teaching or exams: 1-5 March 2010*
No teaching or exams: 29 March - 2 April 2010*
Block 4: 19 April - 2 July 2010
No teaching or exams: 28 June - 2 July* 

* The department may have study-related activities during this period.
