The dates below give an overall view of the academic calendar (autumn and spring semester) at the University. Please contact the individual departments to confirm their specific teaching schedules.

The Academic Year 2012/2013

Autumn Semester 2012 (detailed information here)

The general Academic Calendar for the semester is:
1 September 2012 – 31 January 2013

For students at the Faculty of Science the semester is divided into two blocks:

Block 1: 3 September - 11 November 2012
Block 2: 19 November - 27 January 2013
No teaching or exams: 22 December - 1 January 2013*

* The department may have study-related activities during this period including re-examinations.

Spring Semester 2013 (detailed information here)

The general Academic Calendar for the semester is:
1 February 2013 – 30 June 2013

For students at the Faculty of Science the semester is divided into two blocks:

Block 3: 4 February - 13 April 2013
Block 4: 22 April - 22 June 2013
No teaching or exams: 28 March – 1 April 2013*

* The department may have study-related activities during this period including re-examinations.

Academic Year 2013/2014

Autumn Semester 2013

The general Academic Calendar for the semester is:
1 September 2013 – 31 January 2014

For students at the Faculty of Science the semester is divided into two blocks:

Block 1: 2 September - 8 November 2013
Block 2: 18 November - 24 January 2014
No teaching or exams: 21 December - 1 January 2014*

* The department may have study-related activities during this period including re-examinations.

Spring Semester 2014

The general Academic Calendar for the semester is:

1 February 2014 – 30 June 2014

For students at the Faculty of Science the semester is divided into two blocks:

Block 3: 3 February - 4 April 2014
Block 4: 14 April - 20 June 2014
No teaching or exams: 14 April - 21 April 2014*

* The department may have study-related activities during this period including re-examinations.
