Has the curriculum changed since you studied at the MSc/MA programme?

We assess your application towards the admission requirements of latest curriculum and you will always be re-admitted to that curriculum. Therefore, there may be other courses for you to attend upon re-admission than the ones you had yet to complete before your withdrawal.

You are required to apply for credit transfer if you have any previously finished courses in an MSc/MA programme.

Are you bound to courses you have been registered for (but did not pass), when you were previously enrolled on the programme?

Yes, if you are re-admitted you must complete the courses you previously did not pass, but have been registered for.

In some cases, the programme has changed to a degree where it is no longer possible to attend those courses according to the current curriculum for the programme. In this case, you are no longer bound to those courses.

Have you used your examination attempts?

If you have used your three examination attempts in some of your courses, you can only be re-admitted if you are granted an exemption for an additional attempt.

  • You apply for an exemption by writing the cause of exemption in a document, which you have to upload in the application portal with your application for re-admission.
  • If you are applying for an exemption because of illness or any other reason that you are able to document, please remember to upload this documentation with your application.

Have you used your maximum duration of studies expired?

If you did not meet the requirement for maximum duration of studies at the time of your withdrawal, you can only be re-admitted if you are granted an exemption for this requirement.
