Uploading attachments

When submitting an application through the online application portal, you will often need to upload some kind of attachments to different upload fields found in the application form.

Please note! All uploaded attachments are considered to be provisional and unverified. All official documents that have been electronically uploaded to the application form you must also posses as originals, and you must be able to present the original copies in physical form to the University on request if your application is successful.

In order to upload an attachment to an upload field, you find the relevant field and click on the button "Browse" / "Gennemse", then choose the file you wish to upload from your computer. Type a short name for the file in the text field to the left, and press the button "Upload". Once the file has been uploaded, it will be displayed in the list middle field in the centre.

Upload attachments

The upload fields you will meet as part of the application will vary depending on your nationality and your educational background. Typical activated upload fields will be:

From Programme of study

  • Statement of purpose

From Requirements and prerequisites

  • Dispensation from previously completed Master's Degree
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Additional documentation
  • Language requirements (see below)

From Other

  • Documentation for all completed courses and exams from prior unfinished Master's Programme

Attachment requirements

All upload fields have the following requirements for attached files.

  • Files must be of the type pdf, doc, docx, or jpg
  • Files must be 10MB or less in size
  • No more than 10 files may be uploaded to a single upload field

Re-using attachments

Once you have uploaded a file in the application portal, the file is stored there and can be used again for future applications without you having to upload it from your computer again. To do this, simply click on the icon to the right of the text "" that appears at the end of each upload field.

Language requirements

Depending on your nationality and educational background, you may have to upload documentation that you have the required language skills to study at the programme to which you are applying. Some programmes require a certain level of English and others require Danish language. You can see what language skills are required for a specific programme on the programme website, and any documentation you need to submit must be attached to the field "Language requirements".

Documentation deadlines and mandatory uploads

When filling in the application, there may be upload fields where it is mandatory for you to upload documents, but where the programme has special deadlines that allow you to submit those documents at a later date than the application deadline. In this situation, to avoid being blocked from submitting the application, simply create a document where you describe when you are planning to have the required documentation available, and upload that document to the mandatory upload field. This will allow you to submit the application, and the programme can then re-open your application after the application deadline to allow you to submit documentation for the later documentation deadline.

Note that this is only relevant if the programme website describes a separate documentation deadline for certain types of documentation.
