Prepare and submit your application in the application portal.

This is your application deadline. We do not accept applications after this deadline.

  •

    Anything missing?

    16 January - 30 April

We assess whether your application is complete by looking at the required documentation. To the best of our knowledge, we will let you know if anything is missing. We will send you a message in the application portal.

Your deadline for uploading any missing documents is 1 week from the time we contact you. Your application may be rejected if you do not submit all required documentation, so make sure to check the application portal regularly.

  •

    Academic assessment

    1 April - mid-May

We assess whether you fulfil the admission requirements.

  •

    Offer of admission

    1 May - mid-June

If you fulfil the admission requirements and there are places available in the MSc programme, we will send you an offer of admission. You will receive only 1 offer of admission. It will be for the MSc programme that is the highest of your priorities where we are able to offer you admission.

If you do not fulfil the admission requirements, we will also let you know through the application portal.

You need to actively accept the offer of admission within 5 days of receiving the message in the application portal. If you do not accept the offer before the deadline, you will lose your place in the MSc programme as we will offer the place to another applicant.

We highly recommend that you check the status of your application regularly in the application portal to not miss any important information.

Your admission offer is conditional and will include a list of conditions you must meet in order to obtain full admission, e.g., certified documentation for completed bachelor’s degree. We will inform you of the deadlines and how to meet the conditions in the offer of admission.

  •

    Activate your UCPH username

    May - June

You will receive your UCPH username in an email (the one that you are registered within the application portal) with instructions on how to activate it. Do this as soon as possible. With your username, you can log into KUnet, the UCPH intranet.

If you have previously been admitted to UCPH, (e.g., as an exchange student), a new UCPH username will not be sent to you. You will keep your old one.

You can find help on the KUnet login page if you are unsure about your username or password.

Take part in your online study start

    1 May - 1 September

To make sure you are off to a great start, we have prepared an online study start for you introducing you to your MSc programme and student life at UCPH. Take time to explore our website thoroughly and make it your first priority to find out what courses to register for in your 1st semester. We will send a welcome letter to your email with a link to your online study start.

  • Register for courses

    15 May - 1 June

You must register for all courses in your 1st semester (block 1 and 2) by using the self service system on KUnet (requires login). It is very important you register for courses during this period, or you may end up not being able to take any of the courses you are planning to take in your first semester. Registration is compulsory for all types of courses (even those that are compulsory in your programme). If you are enrolled after 1 June, you will receive information directly on how to register for courses.

  •

    Apply for housing

    Late June

As an international student, you will receive an invitation to the database of the Housing Foundation Copenhagen where you can apply for housing in Copenhagen. You are automatically on the list, and therefore you do not need to contact us to let us know you wish to receive the invitation.

We regrettably cannot guarantee housing for all students and do not have contact information on other eventual housing offices, so you may also want to start looking into alternative housing options around this time.

  •

    Arrival in Copenhagen

    Late August

If possible, we recommend arriving in Copenhagen a few days early but make sure you're ready to go before booking your plane tickets. If you're not able to make it by then, make sure you're here before your first day of classes at the latest.

  •

    Welcome days

    26 August - 30 August

Participate in our welcome days to get to know your MSc programme, your new place of study, your fellow students and UCPH. During this time, you will also be able to register with the authorities, get your student ID and deal with other administrative matters. We will send you an email with more information about welcome days and how to take part in your online study start.

  •

    First day of classes

    2 September

First day of classes on your new MSc programme.

  •
