Bachelor's degree from Denmark
N.B. - If you hold qualifications on par with the Danish upper secondary school 'Danish level A', go to the degree programme’s Danish website to apply for admission.
As a citizen from a country outside the EU, EEA or Switzerland, you can apply for admission based on a relevant bachelor’s degree or another relevant degree at the same educational level.
- Some bachelor’s degrees have already been assessed to meet the academic admission requirements. This means that they automatically fulfill the academic admission requirements. See the list of bachelor’s degrees that automatically fulfil the admission requirements.
- If your degree does not fulfill the academic admission requirements automatically, the Admissions Committee will evaluate your application and assess if your degree can meet the academic admission requirements based on its academic content.
You can only get an answer to whether or not your degree meets the academic admission requirement by applying for admission at the MSc Programme. Solely the Admissions Committee can evaluate whether you are qualified or not. They do this once they have received your application.
Legal right of admission
If you are an applicant with a bachelor’s degree with legal right of admission (‘retskravsbachelor’) from UCPH, go to the degree programme’s Danish website to apply for admission.

- The Application Portal opens: 1 July
- Application deadline: 1 September
It is your own responsibility to apply in due time and, preferably, well before the deadline for applications. Solely applications which are submitted before the deadline for applications will be considered. If you do not upload your application within the deadline, your application will not be considered. However, you may apply for a dispensation to be exempted from the application deadline if exceptional circumstances that have prevented you from applying close to the deadline exist. An application for a dispensation must be sent as soon as possible to admissions@samf.ku.dk. You must provide documentation of the exceptional circumstances. Although you are able to document exceptional circumstances, the Faculty is solely able to grant you a dispensation to be exempted from the application deadline if there are still vacant places at the time that we receive your application. If you are granted a dispensation, your application for admission will be considered. |
How to apply
It is your bachelor’s degree and its academic contents that determine whether you meet the admission requirements. Please note that the MSc programme is in English. Therefore, there is a specific language requirement for the study programme.
- Read about the admission and language requirements before you apply for admission.
- See how we prioritise applicants for the MSc programme.
When you apply for admission, you need to create an application in the Application Portal and upload relevant documentation. This is the only way you can apply for admission.
Documentation for your application
See the list of documentation you need to upload when you apply for admission.
Get your documentation via data exchange
If you are a student at a Danish university, we recommend that you import the documentation of your bachelor’s degree automatically using the data exchange function. You simply ask the system to import your educational data from your university.
If you do not import documentation of your bachelor’s degree using the data exchange function, but instead choose to upload the documentation yourself (in the form of a transcript or your diploma), we will contact the university at which you completed your bachelor’s degree programme and request that they verify the documentation that you have uploaded.
Proof of English proficiency
You must document that you fulfill the English language requirement.
Deadline to upload documentation for English proficiency:
- September intake - 15 January
- February intake - 1 September
The deadline will not be extended. If you do not upload documentation for English proficiency by the deadline, your application will be rejected.
You can submit 3 applications for UCPH
Please note that you may submit a maximum of 3 applications to UCPH study programmes with the same study start.
