How to apply as a student or a former student

If you are currently enrolled in a university programme, or previously have been, you must apply for either re-enrolment, transfer to UCPH or change of programme.

If you have not passed the equivalent of the 1st year of the given programme, you can not apply for re-enrolment or transfer. Instead, you are referred to the ordinary application procedures for bachelor’s and master’s programmes at the University of Copenhagen.

Re-enrolment

If you have previously been accepted to at study programme without completing it, you can apply for re-enrolment in that programme.

You apply for re-enrolment through an application port. Please apply early on to avoid any technical problems right before the application deadline.

How to use the application portal

  1. Log in or register as a user in the application portal

  2. Fill in your application

  3. Transfer date from previous studies using the function “transfer data”

  4. Upload any necessary documentation which cannot be transferred

  5. Submit your application

  6. Make sure to keep an eye on your application continuously. It may be imperative for your application.

Result of your application

You will receive the result of your application

  • 10 June (for study start 1 September)

If your application is missing documentation or other information, you are not guaranteed a result before the deadline. You will be notified, if your application is missing information.

Keep an eye on your application in the application portal system, where you will receive the result.

PLEASE NOTE: You have five days to accept your place in the programme from the date you receive the result. Therefore, it is imperative that you check your application.

Submitting a complaint

The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences are very restrictive concerning re-enrolment and you can only apply for re-enrolment, if you fulfil all the following conditions:

  1. There are available places in the study programme

  2. You have passed the exact equivalent to the 1st year of the programme for which you are applying

  3. It has been minimum 5 months since you stopped your previous studies

  4. If you stopped your studies due to difficult personal issues or illness, your current situation must have improved significantly. If you dropped out of your study programme yourself, you need well thought out reasons for why you wish to re-enrol.

Please note that it is not possible to have your credentials pre-assessed before applying.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You application for re-enrolment must be detailed and your need to supply documentation for each of the elements to which you refer.

You application must consist of:

  1. Information about the programme in which you wish to re-enrol

  2. A statement concerning your current personal situation and how it differs from your situation at the time you were deregistered or dropped out. The statement must include information on how your ability to complete the programme has vastly improved academically or personally.

  3. Documentation for your personal/academic circumstances, for instance, a doctor’s declaration, a statement from a psychologist, or a course certificate.

  4. Documentation for your previously completed study elements in the form of a transcript of records. If the study elements have not been completed at the University of Copenhagen, you must supply a certified copy of your studies from your previous university, and course- and exam descriptions for each element you have passed. The certified copy must have information about each of your exam attempts including the dates for each attempt.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Transfer to UCPH

If you have compelling personal, you can apply for transfer from your current study programme to an equivalent programme at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.

  3. You have passed the exact equivalent to the 1st year of the programme for which you are applying

  4. You have compelling personal reasons which must be documented

  1. Information about the programmes you wish to transfer to and from

  2. Documentation for your previously completed study elements at your current study programme. The document must have information about each of your exam attempts including the dates for each attempt and must be stamped and signed by your current university.

  3. course- and exam descriptions for each element you have passed at your current study programme

  4. A statement concerning your compelling personal reason for your wish to transfer including documentation for these reasons.

Change of programme

You must apply for a change of programme if you are studying on another full-time programme and have passed the equivalent of one year of study on the programme you are applying for.

  • You are a fulltime student at a Danish university 

  • You have passed the exact equivalent to the 1st year of the programme for which you are applying

  • There are available places in the study programme

  • You meet the admission requirements.

Are you no longer enrolled, you are referred to the ordinary application procedures at the University of Copenhagen.

 

 

You can apply for dispensation if there are exceptional circumstances in your life of such a grave nature that you need to apply for a change of programme before completing the first year of study. For further information, please contact SUND Study Information.
