Bachelor’s degree with a reserved access to the programme
As a bachelor with a reserved access, you are guaranteed a place on the Master’s programme in Mathematics.
You are a bachelor with a reserved access to the programme if you meet the following criteria:
- You have completed your Bachelor’s programme in Mathematics at UCPH.
- You must apply before the deadline for applications for the fourth summer intake after you have completed your Bachelor’s programme at the latest.
Please note that the deadline for applications is typically before you have completed your Bachelor’s programme if you want to start your studies in connection with the next intake. The next intake is for study start in February (winter intake) if you complete your Bachelor’s programme in block 1 or 2.
If you accept a place on another MSc programme than the one you have reserved access to, and do not complete this programme, you will still have your reserved access if you apply for admission within the deadline (see criteria above)
You use your reserved access when you accept your offer of admission to the MSc programme where you have reserved access.. If you decline the offer of a place, then you retain your reserved access.
You lose your reserved access to the programme if you
- apply after the deadline for applications for the fourth summer intake. However, you may still apply for admission as you meet the admission requirements
- complete another Master’s programme.
If you completed your Bachelor’s programme before 1 January 2019, you no longer have a legal right of admission. You may still apply for admission, as you meet the admission requirements.

How do you apply?
If you are a bachelor with a reserved access to the programme, you automatically meet the admission and language requirements for the Master’s programme. You are also guaranteed a place on the programme if you apply within the application deadlines.
When you apply for a place on the Master’s programme, you must create an application in the application portal. This is the only way to apply for admission.
Get your documentation through data exchange
If you have completed or expect to complete your Bachelor’s degree with a reserved access, you do not need to upload documentation. You merely need to grant us permission to collect data on your educational background from UCPH. We will contact you if something is missing in your application.
You have a duty of disclosure in relation to Master’s courses/Master’s programmes
If you have passed courses on an uncompleted Master’s programme, you must upload documentation for your passed courses. We use the information to assess whether you are entitled to credit transfers for your passed courses.
You are also required to disclose whether you have completed a Master’s programme. Read more about the Master’s degree rule.
If it turns out that you have used falsified or otherwise misleading documentation in your application, we are obliged to report this to the police and cancel your admission.
You can create three applications to UCPH
You can create a maximum of three applications to UCPH’s study programmes for the same study start date.

Once you have applied for admission, you can see the status of your application and receive messages from us about your application.
