Study Track - Complex Physics
The Complex Physics study track forms part of the Physics specialisation. You can also design your own study track by choosing elective or restricted elective courses other than the ones proposed here.
Complex Physics is often associated with biological systems as well as network theory, turbulence, or the major complexity of, for instance, economic systems. When applying physics to these very different areas, you can be amazed by the knowledge you acquire of systems which at first may seem chaotic.
In the table below, you can find the elective and restricted elective subjects which we propose to focus your specialisation on complex physics:
Block 1 | Block 2 | Block 3 | Block 4 | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Year 1 | Complex Physics |
Choose 2 of the following: |
Continuum Mechanics | Diffusive and Stochastic Processes |
Choose one of the following: |
Choose 1 of the following: Physics of Biological Nonequilibrium Systems |
Choose 1 of the following: |
||
Year 2 | Thesis |
One block each year equals nine weeks of study and 15 ECTS.
* This course can be chosen as an elective course. Please note that you can only choose two elective courses as part of the MSc programme.
