Academic internship

As an MSc in Social Data Science student, you have the opportunity to do an academic internship as part of your programme. The academic internship may take up to 30 ECTS credits of your third semester of studies. To set up an academic internship, you must design a protocol and plan for the academic internship , which must then be accepted by your supervisor as well as by the host company/organisation/institution and/or local authority.

An academic internship has several mandatory components:

  • a work plan developed prior to you commencing the academic internship
  • you working under supervision in the field, in an office, in an archive with a project or programme related to social data science.

Furthermore, milestones for skills and specific competences may be used, depending on the position, placement and project.
