Orientation Programmes

To welcome you and help you settle into life as a University of Copenhagen student, you are invited to attend an orientation programme or session at the beginnig of your stay. Attending orientation is an important step of starting university so attendance is considered essential.

Full-degree Students

Students enrolled at the University to take a full degree are invited to attend an orientation programme hosted by the faculty or programme in which they are enrolled. After you have been admitted to the University of Copenhagen, you will receive an email with information regarding your faculty or department orientation programme. The programmes take place prior to the beginning of the semester.

Exchange and Guest Students

Exchange and guest students enrolled for one or two semesters will all be invited to take part in the orientation programme at the faculty which has the department you selected as a first priority in your online application. Your letter of admission will mention this department first. If you have any questions or wish to attend another orientation meeting, please see the list below on who to contact or where to find more information:

Staff from International Education & Grants will give also introductions at each of these orientation programmes.

If you need general guidance as a new student to the University of Copenhagen, you are also most welcome at the UCPH Student Centre where you will meet staff from International Education & Grants.

Summer School Students

Students attending a summer school at the University of Copenhagen will be invited to a welcome session at the beginning of the course. Students will be informed directly by the course coordinators.
