Questions & answers

Find answers to the most frequently asked questions about admission, re-enrolment, transfer and change of programme.

If you are unsure whether you have passed the equivalent of the first year of study on the latest curriculum for the degree programme to which you want to apply for enrolment, we recommend that you apply for both admission and enrolment (change of programme, transfer, re-enrolment).

It is important that you upload a letter to both of your applications in which you inform us that you have applied for admission as well as enrolment. You can do this by writing a few sentences, for example in a Word document, and uploading it to your application. Then we make sure that your application is processed correctly.

You are welcome to contact us at admissions-guidance@samf.ku.dk if you need help to find out how to apply for admission to a degree programme in the Application Portal.

Questions about re-enrolment

If during your previous enrolment, you used all of your exam attempts in one or more courses or you reached your maximum completion time, you must apply for dispensation.

In your application, you must upload a maximum of a half-page statement. You must explain how your ability to complete the programme has improved significantly. You can also upload documentation that your ability to complete the programme has improved significantly – for example a doctor's note or documentation that you no longer have full-time work.

You will only be re-enrolled if your situation has changed significantly to the extent that it is now realistic that you can complete the programme.

A key factor in the processing of your application is how much you have passed on the programme, and how long you have been enrolled on the programme.

In addition, you must upload a study plan for the remainder of your programme where you study full-time after re-enrolment. Your student counsellor may help you prepare a study plan.
