Quickguide for Master's applications in the online application portal

This guide explains how applicants without direct access to a Master's Programme can create a new application for UCPH in the online application portal quickly and effectively.

Login to the application portal

  1. Find the link to the application portal on the relevant programme website.
  2. If you have a login for a Danish university, you can click on the button labelled "Login" on the welcome page and choose your university from the list given to log in.
  3. If you do not have a login from a Danish university, you need to create a new user profile. Read about how to create a user profile here

Create an application

  1. Click on the tab "Create application". Choose "University of Copenhagen" as institution and "Master" as type.
  2. You can do a targeted search by typing a keyword into the "Degree/course name" field, then click "Search".
  3. Choose the programme to which you wish to apply, and check the checkbox for it. If necessary, choose a secondary subject. Then click "Proceed to create the application".
  4. Click "Proceed to create the application" again on the next page.
Note: If you used a direct link from a programme website, the relevant programme will be pre-selected for you in steps 1-3 above.
Read more about how to create a new application here.

Collect your data from a Danish university database

  1. If you have a degree from a Danish university, you can choose to import that data to the application if available. Read more about data collection here.

Complete and submit application

  1. Click on the button "Next" to move from tab to tab.
  2. On the tab "Person", enter your phone number.
  3. On the tab "Programme of study", upload a statement of purpose if your programme requests it. If the programme does not request it, the question will not be there. Answer any other questions on the tab.
  4. On the tab "Requirements and prerequisites", you must make sure that documentation for your Bachelor's Degree is correctly uploaded. There are two fields, one for completed degrees and one for in-progress degrees, and you can choose either of them for upload. Read more here.
  5. Further down on the tab "Requirements and prerequisites", there are other questions you must answer, which will vary from programme to programme. If your degree is not from a Danish institution, you must attach information about credit system and course descriptions. Make sure all fields are correctly filled with answers and documentation.
  6. At the end of the tab "Requirements and prerequisites", answer the question about credit transfer appropriately and upload documentation if necessary. Read more about credit transfer here.
  7. Once all tabs are complete, click "Next" until you reach the tab "Send application".
Important! Click "Submit application". Only then has the application been submitted.
