DigiQ

Through DigiQ, you may study innovative DigiQ-courses at the cutting edge of Quantum Technology, participate in a substantial internship and exchange program, and join one of four DigiQ-Networks with fellow students and researchers from across Europe. DigiQ is a flexible program designed to be accessible to all students. You may study one or several courses and/or join a network.

DigiQ Master Certification

For those who wish to become experts in Quantum Technology, the DigiQ Master Certification is available for studying 30 ECTS of DigiQ-Courses and completing a year of attendance to a DigiQ-Network. This also unlocks the opportunity to sign up for a paid internship either in an academic lab or in a partner company.

DigiQ-Courses, Networks, and internships/exchanges are available to sign up on DigiQ-Track on the official website.

In order for students to successfully complete the DigiQ-Master program, they must

  1. Complete a Master’s degree program in Quantum Technology and supplement their study by
  2. Obtaining 30 ECTS accredited from the DigiQ Ecosystem, and
  3. Participating actively (>50% attendance) at the events incorporated into a DigiQ-Network.

The DigiQ-Master certificate is awarded by the consortium alongside the locally awarded Quantum Technology Masters degree at the end of the study program.

Internships

Information for students and partners

Students can apply for financial support throughout the year if they already participate or plan to participate in the DigiQ exchange or DigiQ internship program. Students can only receive financial support if they are part of a DigiQ network. The selection process for the mobility program will take place regularly and several times during the year.

The level of financial support depends on the country of the host institution in case of in person participation, and it depends on the country of the home institution in case of virtual participation.

General conditions

Host institutions must offer at least 10 ECTS of DigiQ courses to students in order to take an exchange in a given semester. DigiQ ECTS points are awarded for internships at a rate of 1 ECTS per 25 hours of workload, regardless of whether the internship results in formal ECTS at the sending institution.

Networks

Students can apply to any network. They have to join a network to be eligible for travel and internship funding.

List of networks

  • AQISS: Applied Quantum Information Science Student Network
  • AQT: Advocates for Quantum Technology
  • EFEQT: Empowering the Future Experts in Quantum Science and Technology for Europe
  • NQC: Network for Quantum Computing
