Master of Science (MSc) in Anthropology

Students working in small group

The MSc in Anthropology is a two-year degree programme taught in English. The aim is to provide theoretically based higher education with thematic and regional specialisation as well as experience in research methodology.

The Department of Anthropology offers both a general Master’s degree in Anthropology as well as two specialisation tracks: Specialisation in Business & Organisational Anthropology and specialisation in Anthropology of Health. These specialisation tracks are an opportunity to have an even more targeted profile for your degree programme and your Master´s diploma. The two tracks lie within the structure of the general MSc. Read more about them under the Programme Structure

As a student at the Department of Anthropology, you will be studying at one of the largest Anthropological research establishments in Europe. As part of the programme you will be asked to plan, conduct and analyse a larger fieldwork, which will serve as the basis for your master’s thesis. You can conduct the fieldwork in either Denmark, in your home country or abroad. Find information about the Profile and Career.
